Istanbul to host World Halal Summit 2025 focusing on trade innovation

Event coordinator Aylin Sengul highlighted Türkiye's prominent position in the global halal market, noting that the country generates the highest added value within the sector. The worldwide halal economy has expanded to exceed $7 trillion, encompassing diverse industries beyond food, including cosmetics, tourism, finance, and textiles, with Türkiye establishing itself as a central hub for this growing market.
Global Participation and Economic Impact
The Istanbul event will feature exhibitors from more than 40 countries and anticipates welcoming over 9,000 international visitors. Participants include Turkic republics such as Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, Asian nations like Indonesia and Malaysia, European countries including Germany and Poland, Balkan states, and African nations such as Nigeria and Senegal, demonstrating the truly global reach of the halal industry.
Expanding Halal Sector Diversity
Beyond traditional halal food products, the summit will spotlight emerging sectors including hygiene, cosmetics, cleaning products, and halal tourism. The event program includes specialized conferences, country cooperation forums, and business-to-business meetings designed to foster commercial opportunities and highlight the importance of supporting industries like logistics, transportation, and information technology within the halal ecosystem.
