Israeli army continues its violations in the countryside of Quneitra province in southwestern Syria on November 05, 2025.

Israeli military forces have carried out their fourth incursion into Syria's Quneitra countryside within two days, establishing multiple checkpoints that restrict civilian movement. The operations represent an escalation of cross-border military activities that Syrian authorities characterize as sovereignty violations.

Israeli military units have conducted a fourth cross-border incursion into Syria's Quneitra region within a forty-eight-hour period, establishing additional checkpoints that impede local civilian movement. The latest operation follows three separate Israeli raids conducted Tuesday in the border area, with Syrian authorities characterizing the repeated military entries as violations of national sovereignty.

Checkpoint Establishment and Movement Restrictions

According to Syrian state television reports, Israeli forces advanced into the village of Rasm al-Qita and installed a military checkpoint that prevents resident movement. The official Syrian news agency SANA additionally reported another Israeli military checkpoint constructed along the roadway connecting Abu Ghara village and Suwaisa town, creating further transportation barriers for local communities in the contested border region near the Golan Heights.

Previous Day's Operations and Local Impact

Tuesday's three separate Israeli military incursions included checkpoint establishment between Umm Batinah and Jaba villages, accompanied by searches of local residents attempting to pass through the area. The intensified Israeli operations in Quneitra have generated significant local complaints regarding advances into agricultural lands, destruction of hundreds of forested acres, civilian arrests, and the proliferation of military checkpoints that disrupt normal civilian life and economic activities.

Broader Context of Israeli-Syrian Border Tensions

The Israeli military has repeatedly crossed into Syrian territory, conducting numerous airstrikes that have resulted in civilian casualties and destruction of Syrian military infrastructure including positions, vehicles, and weapon storage facilities. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa previously disclosed that Israeli forces have executed more than 1,000 airstrikes and over 400 ground incursions since the political transition from the previous Assad administration, highlighting the persistent security challenges along Syria's southern border that affect regional stability concerns shared by neighboring Türkiye.
