Türkiye rejects Indian media terror claims as malicious disinformation

Türkiye's Center for Combating Disinformation has dismissed allegations in certain Indian media outlets linking Ankara to terror attacks in India as baseless disinformation. The center reiterated Türkiye's leading role in global counter-terrorism efforts and called the reports an attempt to damage bilateral relations.
Türkiye has formally rejected allegations published in some Indian media outlets that claimed connections between Ankara and terrorist activities in India. The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) characterized these reports as part of a deliberate disinformation campaign designed to harm diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Official Rejection of Allegations
The DMM stated that claims suggesting Türkiye provides logistical, diplomatic, or financial support to terrorist groups operating in India are completely unfounded and lack any factual basis. The center emphasized that such manipulative reporting contradicts Türkiye's established position and documented actions in the global fight against terrorism.
Türkiye's Counter-Terrorism Leadership
Reaffirming Ankara's consistent rejection of all forms of terrorism, the DMM highlighted Türkiye's active role in international counter-terrorism initiatives. The center noted that Türkiye substantially contributes to the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and plays a pivotal role in shaping NATO's anti-terrorism policies through its extensive experience and cooperation.
Call to Disregard False Reports
The DMM described allegations of Türkiye engaging in radicalization activities targeting India or other countries as purely disinformative. The center urged the public to dismiss these unfounded claims, stating they aim to undermine Türkiye's significant contributions to global security, stability, and peace efforts.
