New pre-historic findings shed light on Istanbul's history
Pottery remains believed to date back to 4500 B.C.-5000 B.C., from the Chalcolithic Age, have been unearthed during ongoing excavations carried out by the Istanbul Archaeology Museums in an area where a subway line will be built in Istanbul’s central Beşiktaş district.
