19 PKK terrorists killed in southeastern Turkey

Total number of terrorists killed exceeds 528 in Cizre, Silopi and Sur towns of Şırnak and Diyarbakır provinces

The Turkish military said that 19 more members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) had been killed in southeastern Turkey.



Eleven of the total 19 terrorists were killed in Cizre town of Şırnak province, while the remaining five were killed in Silopi town of Şırnak province and two in Sur town of Diyarbakır province.



With the recent killings, the total number of the terrorists killed in Cizre reached 296 in Silopi 135 and in Sur 97.



In Cizre town, 15 handmade bombs were destroyed and three barricades were removed, while three Kalashnikov rifle, two pistols, eight shotguns, 672 Kalashnikov rifle cartridges, 48 pistol cartridge, 175 shotgun cartridges, six Kalashnikov rifle magazines, four pistol magazines, two hand grenades, 16 Molotov cocktails, two unexploded mortar ammunition, four binoculars, a hand-held radios, a shotgun apparatus, two guns War, two bandoliers, a rifle strap, four assault vest, a mobile phone, two ammunition box, a video camera, a tape, a battery, an SD card, a camera charger, two batteries, a charger, various types and quantities of medical supplies were seized.



In Silopi, eight handmade bombs were destroyed while two Kalashnikov rifles, four Kalashnikov rifle magazines, 137 Kalashnikov rifle cartridge, three shotgun, 45 shotgun cartridges, three hand grenades, two radios, two pairs of binoculars, three batteries, one assault vest and two backpacks were seized.



Also in Sur, 11 barricades were seized and one handmade bomb was destroyed.



Turkey has been fighting against the PKK to rescue cities from militants by declaring curfews and launching operations in the region.



More than 200 members of the security forces were martyred and over 3,100 PKK terrorists were killed in 2015 alone.
