7 dead in bus crash in central Turkey

Accident due to ice on Kırşehir-Ankara highway left 7 people dead, dozens injured

At least seven people were killed and around 22 injured when a bus carrying passengers rolled off the road shoulder in central Kırşehir province on Monday.

The accident occurred on the Kırşehir-Ankara highway.

The injured people were taken to several different hospitals close to the scene.

The icing which followed recent heavy snowfall affected land transport badly and increased the number of accidents all over Turkey.

At least 21 provinces of Turkey are still under heavy snow.
