Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed regional security and the Gaza Peace Plan with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday, reaffirming Ankara's commitment to stability while stressing that Israel's full compliance with the roadmap is essential for the plan's success.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday held a phone call with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss regional security, bilateral relations and the Gaza Peace Plan, according to Türkiye's Communications Directorate. The two leaders exchanged views on recent developments in the region, with Erdogan expressing Ankara's sorrow over attacks targeting the Kingdom.

He reaffirmed Ankara's commitment to achieving lasting peace and ensuring stability and security across the Middle East, the directorate said in a statement on X. Erdogan also noted the importance of bilateral cooperation between Ankara and Riyadh in addressing regional challenges.

Gaza Peace Plan

Erdogan stressed that Israel's full compliance with the roadmap for the second phase of the Gaza Peace Plan is essential to the plan's success. "We are closely monitoring the developments," he said, according to the statement.
