Five PKK terrorists were killed and three civilians wounded in an operation in the curfew town of Dargecit
Five PKK terrorists were killed Monday in a security operation in the southeastern province of Mardin, Turkish security sources said.
The operation in the town of Dargecit also saw three civilians, including a child, injured. The town, which lies around 40 kilometers (26 miles) north of the Syrian border, has been under curfew since Friday.
The PKK - considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its armed campaign in late July. Since then more than 180 members of the security forces have been martyred and around 1,700 PKK terrorists killed.
