Nine more PKK terrorists killed

Turkish military announced nine more PKK terrorists killed in southeast Turkey
Turkish security forces have killed at least nine members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the country's southeast.
The Turkish military said that two terrorists were killed in Diyarbakır's Sur district, four in Şırnak's Cizre district and three in Silopi.
A total of 62 PKK terrorists were killed in Sur, 207 in Cizre and 36 in Silopi since 14 December 2015.
The operation against PKK terrorists has been ongoing since 15 December.
According to the Turkish military, more than 300 terrorists have been killed since December 14, 2015, when the anti-terrorism operations intensified.
A curfew was imposed in many districts of provinces in the southeast, including Cizre, Silopi, Sur, and Nusaybin since the operations began. Most of the local residents relocated to safer areas after or before the curfew was imposed on the restive towns, which have frequently been the scene of clashes between security forces and the PKK.
The PKK – considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the US and the EU – resumed its armed campaign in late July. Since then, more than 200 members of the security forces have been martyred and over 3,000 PKK terrorists killed.
