Turks outraged over losing 16 soldiers in PKK's Dağlıca attack

Thousands of people gathered in various provinces nationwide to protest the killings of Turkish soldiers in Dağlıca clashes with the PKK

Turkish citizens angry over the latest PKK assault on Turkish soldiers took to the streets nationwıde to protest the PKK's violent act in the southeast. Outlawed Kurdistan Worker's Party terrorists targeted Turkish soldiers in a landmine attack late Sunday in the town of Dağlıca in Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province, wounding and killing several soldiers. It was the largest death toll of attacks since July 22: sixteen soldiers were killed, according to security sources.



To protest this assault, thousands of people gathered in various provences of Turkey. People damned terrorism with a 500-car convoy in Eskişehir and a 150-car convoy in Tekirdağ. In İnegöl disrict of Bursa, a silent protest lasted one and half hour long. Also a large group of people marched to Military Command in Afyonkarahisar. About 1,500 protestors that gathered in Mersin closed off the Mersin-Antalya road to traffic and attacked an intercity bus heading toDiyarbakır.



Hundreds also gathered in Sivas, Gaziantep, and Düzce provinces on Sunday evening to protest terrorism. The crowds in all provinces held Turkish flags and shouted slogans such as “Martyrs are immortal, our land is indivisible."
