Bahrain says it repelled multiple Iranian aerial attacks

Bahrain's Defense Force has reported that it intercepted and destroyed several aerial attacks launched by Iran on Saturday. In a statement on social media platform X, the force said "all its weapons and units are at the highest levels of readiness and are on high alert" to protect Bahraini territory.

The Bahraini military condemned the strikes, stating that "the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law." The attacks are part of a broader Iranian campaign against Gulf countries that host US military assets, as tensions continue to escalate.

Escalating Conflict

The exchange of fire between Washington and Tehran continues despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding signed in June that was intended to end the war and reach a lasting peace agreement.
