Iran intercepts three oil tankers in Strait of Hormuz operation

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said it intercepted three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, claiming the vessels failed to comply with its warnings before being stopped. Warning directed at the United States

The Revolutionary Guard also issued a strong warning regarding US activities in the region, stating that what it described as unlawful American interference would not go unanswered. "The IRGC Navy once again warns that the illegal interventions and orders of the US, a child-killing army, will not go unanswered by vessels in the region," the statement said.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical shipping corridor linking the Persian Gulf with international markets and carries a significant share of the world's oil exports.
