Israeli settlers raid Nablus area as West Bank tensions rise

Dozens of Israeli settlers entered the Ain al-Mazrab area of Tell and nearby locations west of Nablus while accompanied by Israeli soldiers, according to witnesses. The group remained in the area briefly before leaving less than half an hour later.

The move came after calls by settler groups for a large gathering in Tell, raising tensions in the northern occupied West Bank region.

Military positions established in Tell

The latest incident followed the Israeli army’s takeover of four homes in Tell, which were reportedly transformed into military outposts. Palestinian residents have raised concerns over increasing Israeli military and settler activity across the area.

A previous settler attack in Tell last week resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians, injuries to several others and damage to homes, vehicles and other property. Israeli sources also reported that two Israelis were killed during the violence.

West Bank violence intensifies

Settler attacks across the occupied West Bank have increased alongside frequent Israeli military raids targeting Palestinian cities, towns and refugee camps. The escalation has added further pressure on communities already facing restrictions and security operations.

The United Nations and international observers have repeatedly expressed concern over rising tensions and violence in the occupied Palestinian territories.
