Russian strike on Kharkiv postal terminal kills four, wounds 20

The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration said a Russian missile struck a postal terminal in a northeastern suburb on Sunday, killing four people and wounding 20 others as rescue crews searched for additional victims.

Postal facility targeted

Oleh Syniehubov said on Telegram that the missile hit the terminal in the morning, prompting police and medics to scour the site for survivors. He added that rescue operations were underway at the facility, though officials did not release further details regarding the extent of the damage.

Kyiv faces barrage

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of carrying out one of its "largest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv," and said Russian forces launched more than 40 projectiles and 120 drones against the capital. The accusation came as regional Governor Oleh Hryhorov reported on Telegram that guided aerial bombs struck civilian infrastructure in the Sumy region on Sunday morning, killing one person and wounding three others.

Verification challenges

Russia has not commented on the Ukrainian claims, and independent verification of the reported casualties remains difficult due to the ongoing hostilities. The strikes mark the latest in a series of cross-border attacks that have intensified since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
