Türkiye rejects Israeli claims as coordinated disinformation

The Foreign Ministry said Israeli officials have mounted a coordinated disinformation campaign against Ankara, accusing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government of deliberately distorting criticism to divert international attention from the ongoing war in Gaza through baseless and systematically timed claims.
Türkiye's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday dismissed allegations from Israeli officials as baseless fabrications orchestrated through a coordinated disinformation campaign, saying the claims were deliberately timed to divert international attention from Israel's ongoing actions in the Gaza Strip.
Coordinated campaign
The Foreign Ministry characterized the recent claims as fabrications carried out with specific coordination, accusing Israeli officials of deliberately distorting external criticism to shift the regional agenda. "Netanyahu and his accomplices deliberately distort all criticism directed at them and seek to shift the agenda through a systematic propaganda campaign," the ministry said, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The statement emphasized that such efforts have repeatedly surfaced as part of a broader strategy to undermine Ankara's credibility on the international stage.
Gaza genocide
The ministry asserted that these disinformation tactics have failed to convince the global community or conceal what it termed the Netanyahu government's genocide in Gaza, alongside policies of occupation and annexation across the region. Ankara has consistently accused Israel of war crimes in the Palestinian territory since October 2023, with Turkish officials maintaining that military operations amount to systematic destruction extending beyond Gaza to threaten broader regional security.
Constructive policy call
Türkiye remains committed to ensuring that all countries and peoples in the region live in peace, stability and prosperity, the ministry stated, framing Ankara's diplomatic posture as constructive engagement rather than hostility. "With this understanding, we once again call on Israel to pursue a constructive and peaceful policy," the ministry said. "As Türkiye, we will continue to speak the truth."
