Zelenskyy says Russian strikes kill four, injure 15 in overnight attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that overnight Russian strikes across multiple regions killed four people and injured 15 others. A missile strike on a residential building in Odesa killed two people and wounded five, while two more were killed and five injured in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Zelenskyy's post on X.

Widespread Attacks Across Regions

In the Sumy region, Russia launched 15 guided aerial bombs, injuring one person and damaging residential buildings and civilian infrastructure, Zelenskyy said. Three people were injured in shelling in the Kharkiv region, while one person was wounded in the Chernihiv region. The Ukrainian president also said Russia launched more than 130 attack drones and eight missiles overnight.

Russian Claims and Continuing Strikes

The Russian Defense Ministry said its forces carried out group strikes on port infrastructure in Odesa, damaging fuel storage tanks and a boat intended to supply the Ukrainian military. It also said it hit two drone assembly workshops and an ammunition warehouse. Independent verification of the claims remains difficult due to the ongoing war.
