Operation against Kılıçdaroğlu

This is not the first time that Kılıçdaroğlu has done this.

In budget meetings in 2010, Kılıçdaroğlu made some claims regarding the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and again showed some papers. As an advisor to the prime minister, I was in the Assembly and immediately called Mehmet Özhaseki, who was then-Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and the current environment and urbanization minister. After telling me that all the claims were slanders, he also sent me some documents refuting Kılıçdaroğlu’s claims. Then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in a speech at the General Assembly refuted the claims one by one and said, “You failed again,” which was engraved in minds.

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was sued for his claims regarding Kayseri; he lost the case and paid a huge compensation. Mayor Özhaseki distributed plenty of Turkish sausage to the needy in Kayseri with this money.

A similar incident also happened prior to the 2011 elections. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu claimed that some people was a case of favoritism in the ÖSYM, Turkey’s university entrance exam, that ÖSYM was given instructions to place a relative of a minister into a university and that he had the documents to prove it. Later, he presented the “document;” there was no “proof” other than an e-mail sent by a fake user. The claim that he had asserted for days put Kılıçdaroğlu to shame.

There are many examples: Kılıçdaroğlu made many slanderous statements from the podium ranging from the issue of an Etro shirt to a villa with pool, from an account in Switzerland banks to toilets of the Presidential Complex without conducting research, and each time he was laughed at.

For a normal person, even one of those mistakes is enough to resign. Forget resigning, a normal person would be embarrassed, ashamed, blush and apologize after all these mistakes.

The situation is different for Kılıçdaroğlu; he turned these claims and slanders into a policy and made both the CHP and a part of CHP voters familiarized with this policy.

It makes no difference to Kılıçdaroğlu whether those claims are true or false. His policies don’t have a place for concepts like honor, pride, dignity and integrity. After he talks he doesn’t care about being disgrace, blushing, embarrassment or what happens later.

However, the situation is a little different this time…

Kılıçdaroğlu was going to declare the documents showing that the relatives of the president transferred money abroad. He also made preparations for this. A few days earlier, it was announced that Kılıçdaroğlu would declare some documents; the public curiosity was aroused and the media was brought to attention.

Kılıçdaroğlu went up to the podium, brandished some papers, mentioned some names and got off the podium.

After a short while, it was revealed that Kılıçdaroğlu was deceived once again. The documents were fake. They had nothing to do with his claims. They were not the documents showing overseas money transfers.

As of the moment when this piece was being written, the so-called documents were not shared with the media, the TBMM [Grand National Assembly of Turkey] or prosecution office. Despite the intense debates at the General Assembly, CHP could not present the so-called documents. Frankly, there is no document for it to present either.

Obviously Kılıçdaroğlu did not feel like taking a look at the documents he was given and did not even bother to examine what those papers were.

Again obviously, those papers, which were supposed be “documents,” were slipped to Kılıçdaroğlu by someone he trusts a great deal.

This scandal of Kılıçdaroğlu is different from previous ones. Kılıçdaroğlu failed miserably this time. He cannot share fake documents with public. Thus, he will be crushed under the pressure to “present the documents.” This time, not only the opponents of CHP but also those who are pro-CHP will react to Kılıçdaroğlu.

Do not look for shame or a sign of blush on the face of Kılıçdaroğlu; but those who are pro-CHP have already been embarrassed because of this scandal and they make it clear.

Apparently, the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ) eventually saw that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who it assigned to the job with great hopes, fell flat. The last incident shows that FETÖ is getting ready to discharge Kılıçdaroğlu.

It is very clear with the so-called document scandal that there is an operation targeting Kılıçdaroğlu.

Fortunately, this operation is not as ugly as the previous one. That being said, being an “account expert” and being unable to read the receipts he holds is not any less disgraceful.
