Mobile giants Samsung and OPPO are preparing to build factories in Turkey with a combined investment worth $50 million, according to reports.
The South Korean and Chinese mobile giants primarily aim to export devices manufactured in Turkey to Europe.
The factories in question, for which an investment incentive certificate has already been issued and will be established with a total investment of $50 million, will be of strategic importance for the country.
Construction of the factories, which are slated to be established in Istanbul and Kocaeli, is set to start soon, and is expected to create an array of employment opportunities once inaugurated.

More details on the investment projects will be shared with the public as soon as they become available.
Oppo was first established in China’s Dongguan in 2004 and it has more than 40,000 employees and 300 million users, while Samsung was founded in 1938 in South Korea by Lee Byung-chul with a capital of just 30,000 won (27 dollars).
