Kurdish city to house nine-language concert
A nine-language concert, titled "Universal Emotions'', will be staged at Aram Tigran City Conservatory in the predominantly Kurdish city of Diyarbakir on Tuesday
A selection of 11 works will be performed in nine languages including Turkish, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Greek, and English as well as Kurdish dialects of Kurmanji, Sorani, Zazaki.
The event will feature a wide range of instruments from tarcus, fretless guitar, lute, saz to oud, reed flute to percussion, violin and bass guitar.
Musicians like Siyar Ayaz, Neset Güçmen, Serhat Atalay, Kivanç Bulutoglu, Onur Barç and Pir Kemal Baris will take to the stage with Ozan Ünali a trainer in the city''s music school.
The prominent artist Tara Jaff will be a guest star with her harp in the concert.
The concert will take place at 8 pm in Diyarbakir Municipality theater hall.
