Melbourne Zoo locked down by zoo authorities after escape
An orangutan ran away its enclosure at an Australian zoo on Friday, local media reported.
A 16-year-old Sumatran orangutan escaped from its cage at around 3 p.m. local time (0500GMT) at the Melbourne Zoo, according to the local media outlet 7news.
The Melbourne Zoo was locked down by the zoo authorities following the case.
Meanwhile, the orangutan forced the zoo into lockdown in 2015 in its first escape attempt.
