Khashoggi’s body cremated in furnace at Saudi consul’s Istanbul home

New report claims the long-missing body of slain Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was cremated in an oven inside the Saudi consul general’s Istanbul home.
The bombshell Aljazeera Arabic documentary revealed that Turkish authorities monitored the burning carried out at the outdoor furnace after bags believed to be carrying the body parts were transferred from the nearby consulate.
The furnace in question is said to be capable of generating heat at a 1000 Celsius, and was built under the specific request of the Saudi consul general, who demanded it be “deep.”
Big chunks of meat also cooked in the oven after the murder were found a few hundred meters away by Turkish authorities, who believe they were placed there in order to cover up the cremation of the journalist’s body.
Khashoggi, a Saudi journalist and columnist for The Washington Post, went missing after entering the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on Oct. 2.
The Saudi government changed its story on the murder, first denying it took place, then suggesting it was accidental and finally referring to it as a rogue operation.
Turkey has called for the extradition of the killers for trial in Turkey where the crime took place.
The Turkish leader said that Ankara mobilized all efforts since the beginning of the brutal killing of Khashoggi.
