16th year of the re-opening of the historic Mostar Bridge
A general view of the ancient Mostar Bridge after it was restored and reopened in 2004 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 23, 2020. 456 blocks of stones were used in the construction of the bridge, which was built on the Neretva River in 1566 by Architect (Mimar) Hayrettin, a student of Architect (Mimar) Sinan. The bridge, which is 24 meters high, 30 meters long and 4 meters wide, also gave its name to the city of Mostar.
