Turkish cuisine triumphs as 7 dishes rank among world's best

Türkiye's culinary prowess has been recognized on the global stage, with seven of its traditional dishes securing spots in TasteAtlas's "World's 100 Best Foods" list. The standout was Çökertme Kebab, achieving an impressive score and a top-ten position. This achievement highlights the rich, diverse flavors of Turkish cuisine and its growing international reputation among food enthusiasts and critics alike.

"Çökertme Kebabı," which debuted at number seven on the "Top 100" list, received a score of 4.64. The famous kebab, which blends delicious meat with fried potatoes and a buttery sauce, has become a hot topic among gastronomy enthusiasts.

The second Turkish dish to enter the list from the top 10 was "Cağ Kebabı" with a score of 4.60. Erzurum's famous dish ranked ninth on the "World's 100 Best Foods" list.

Meanwhile, another flavor that topped the list was Bursa's iconic "Iskender Kebab." With a score of 4.53, this Turkish delicacy ranked 26th in the world.

The 'Lamb Shish', which is a mouthwatering dish with its delightful taste, ranked 28th with the same score.
Adana Kebab, which stands out with its spicy texture, entered the list, ranking 47th with 4.50 points.

The classic Ottoman dish "Hünkar Beğendi", prepared with lamb on roasted eggplant puree, found itself in 51st place with 4.50 points.

On the other hand, "Islama Köfte", which has made a name for itself with its delicious taste, ranked 59th with 4.49 points.
