Passenger tries to smuggle over 3,000 live leeches in suitcase out of Turkey
Turkish officials discovered a Kyrgyz national trying to smuggle 3,300 live medicinal leeches (Hirudo Verbana) out of Turkey in their suitcase at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. They were fined over 50,000 Turkish liras, while the leeches were set free to wiggle as they please.
