A coalition of eight countries, including Türkiye, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, has jointly called on Israel to immediately lift restrictions on humanitarian aid entering Gaza. Turkish Airlines has announced a massive investment exceeding 100 billion Turkish liras (over $2.3 billion) to construct what it claims will be the world's largest cargo terminal and in-flight catering facility. The project is expected to create 26,000 new jobs, significantly boosting the national carrier's logistics capacity.The Gaza government estimates direct damage to 15 vital sectors from Israel's military campaign in 2025 has exceeded $33 billion. The assessment details near-total devastation of agriculture, infrastructure, housing, and health facilities in the besieged enclave.President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Türkiye is making transformative progress in its defense sector to ensure regional and global stability. He highlighted indigenous systems including tanks, drones, warships, and missiles as part of a major strategic leap.Trade Minister Ömer Bolat announced that Turkish authorities seized tobacco and tobacco products worth ₺1.359 billion in 2,434 separate incidents in 2025. He also reported the seizure of 33.6 tons of narcotics valued at ₺45 billion during the same period.
