2 killed, 8 injured in PKK/YPG terror attack on Jarabulus, northern Syria

A rocket attack by the terrorist group PKK/YPG killed two people and injured eight others in the opposition-held Jarabulus district of northern Syria, local sources said on Tuesday.

PKK/YPG terrorists stationed in the Zor Magar region east of the Euphrates targeted Jarabulus with rockets.

The attack left two civilians dead and eight injured.

Clashes broke out on Nov. 27 between Assad regime forces and anti-regime armed groups on the outskirts of Aleppo in northern Syria, marking a renewal of the fighting after a period of relative calm in Syria's civil war, which erupted in 2011.

In its 40-year terror campaign against Türkiye, the PKK – listed as a terrorist organization by Türkiye, the US, and EU – has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people, including women, children, infants and the elderly.

The YPG is PKK's offshoot in Syria, the scene of the current fighting, and an area where the group has tried to establish a “terror corridor” along the Turkish border, with Türkiye deploying troops to prevent this and keep locals safe from terrorist oppression.
