BBC raises anger with 'black people, fried chicken' video
The BBC has become the target of anger after publishing a 'racist' video it made called “Is it true all black people like fried chicken?” The video, which was released on the last day of Black History Month, features a number of young people discussing a stereotype about black people eating fried chicken. Social media users slammed the BBC for producing such a video as a female social media user tweeted “This was unbelievably racist. Why treat a racist stereotype like some kind of reasonable discussion point? What for?” “This is repulsive. BBC Newsbeat exploiting racist and dehumanizing anti-Black stereotypes to attract clicks," another said according to Independent.
