Erdoğan pledges deeper economic ties with Egypt to foster regional stability

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has emphasized that deepening economic partnership with Egypt is a strategic priority that contributes directly to regional peace and stability. Addressing the Türkiye-Egypt Business Forum in Cairo on Wednesday, the President outlined concrete goals for bilateral cooperation and acknowledged Egypt's critical role in humanitarian efforts.

A $15 Billion Trade Target

Central to the economic vision is a significant boost in commercial exchange. "We will continue close coordination with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in line with our $15 billion bilateral trade volume target," Erdoğan stated. This ambitious goal represents a substantial increase from current trade levels and is intended to unlock new opportunities for investors and businesses in both nations.

Cooperation on Gaza and Regional Stability

Beyond trade, President Erdoğan framed the strengthened relationship as a force for stability in a turbulent region.
