Humanitarian efforts amid ceasefire
The aid drive comes as the World Food Programme reported that monthly food deliveries to Gaza have more than doubled since the implementation of a ceasefire. According to the UN agency, improved access as of late February 2026 has enabled coordinated distribution of food parcels, hot iftar meals, fresh bread and cash assistance.
Amid winter conditions and continued displacement, approximately one million people are receiving comprehensive support packages. The developments highlight the combination of civil society initiatives from Türkiye and international humanitarian operations seeking to address urgent needs in Gaza during Ramadan.
