As part of Turkish Cultural Days in Bulgaria, the TRT-produced animated film Rafadan Tayfa 4: Hayrimatör was screened in Sofia, delighting over 170 children at the Cine Grand cinema.

This marked a significant moment in the festivities, showcasing Turkish storytelling and animation to young audiences in Bulgaria. The screening was one of many vibrant events celebrating Turkish culture, including workshops, exhibitions, and culinary presentations.

Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Türkiye’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Mehmet Sait Uyanık, emphasized the importance of engaging children through cultural programs. “This week, we are hosting Turkish Cultural Days in Sofia with the goal of providing meaningful activities for children. Our program includes workshops, fashion shows, and culinary presentations. We will also celebrate World Turkish Coffee Day with special offerings,” said Uyanık.

First Turkish-Language Animated Film in Sofia

The screening was made possible with the support of the Sofia-based Association of Bilinguals. Its president, Aylin Fırıncı, expressed pride and excitement about the event. “For the first time in Sofia, a Turkish-language animated film was shown. We embraced this idea in collaboration with the embassy, and it has garnered significant interest,” Fırıncı remarked.

A Celebration of Turkish Culture

Turkish Cultural Days, a collaboration between Türkiye’s Embassy in Sofia, Sofia University of Telecommunications and Post, and the Kırklareli Olgunlaşma Institute, feature a rich lineup of activities:

* Ebru Workshop: Experience the art of traditional Turkish marbling.

* Ceramics Workshop: Explore pottery techniques through live demonstrations.

* Exhibitions: Admire ceramics and textile works from the Kırklareli Olgunlaşma Institute.

* Fashion Show: Witness the unique “Turkish Red and White” collection.

* Culinary Delights: Sample a selection of Turkish cuisine and enjoy freshly brewed Turkish coffee.

The Turkish Cultural Days festivities will continue until December 5, inviting visitors to experience the vibrant heritage of Türkiye.
