The eighth Take Off Istanbul Startup Summit has begun, bringing together around 500 startups and 250 investors from over 40 countries. The event features international pavilions, investor meetings, and training sessions.
The eighth edition of the Take Off Istanbul Startup Summit, the region's premier technology and entrepreneurship event, commenced on Wednesday. Organized under the umbrella of the major TEKNOFEST aviation and technology festival, the two-day summit is designed as a comprehensive platform for innovation, backed by Türkiye's Technology Team Foundation, Ministry of Industry and Technology, and Investment Office.
A global gathering of startups and capital
This year's summit has significantly expanded its international footprint, hosting approximately 500 startups and 250 investors from more than 40 nations. To highlight cross-border collaboration, the event features dedicated country pavilions for Spain, Bangladesh, North Macedonia, and Uzbekistan, showcasing the startup ecosystems of these nations and fostering global networking.
Focused programs on fintech, space, and emerging markets
The summit's agenda includes expert speeches and panel discussions on key sectors such as fintech, connectivity, the space economy, and emerging markets. Specialized programs like the "Entrepreneurial Event" and the "International Investor Meeting" are integrated to facilitate direct business connections and investment opportunities between founders and funders.
Commitment to nurturing young talent and community
Beyond deal-making, the summit emphasizes talent development, offering special training sessions for students to support the next generation of entrepreneurs.
