Baykar showcased its advanced drone systems including Bayraktar TB2, Akıncı, TB3 and Kızılelma at BAMEX'25 in Mali, highlighting Türkiye's growing defense exports to African nations. The company has become a key security partner for countries across the continent through its unmanned aerial vehicle technologies.

Turkish defense company Baykar has demonstrated its expanding role in African security through participation in the Bamako Expo Fair (BAMEX'25) in Mali's capital. The exhibition featured scale models of Baykar's prominent unmanned aerial vehicles including the Bayraktar TB2, Akıncı, TB3, and Kızılelma, introducing these systems to international delegations seeking advanced defense solutions.

African Market Expansion

Africa represents one of Baykar's fastest-growing markets, with numerous nations adopting Turkish drone technology for their security needs. Countries including Mali, Morocco, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Libya, Burkina Faso, Togo, Niger, Djibouti, Somalia, Rwanda, and Kenya have incorporated Baykar's combat-proven unmanned aerial vehicles into their defense architectures to address national security challenges.

Export Leadership and Capabilities

Baykar has positioned Türkiye as the world's leading exporter of armed UAVs, with 83% of its revenue generated from international sales since beginning research and development in 2003. The company ranks among Türkiye's top ten exporters across all sectors and has established defense agreements with 37 countries, with over 90% of recent contracts involving export transactions.

Technological Advantages

The Bayraktar TB2 has gained particular prominence across Africa for its intelligence, surveillance, and precision strike capabilities. Along with the unmanned aerial vehicles themselves, Baykar exports various payloads manufactured within Türkiye's defense industry ecosystem, providing comprehensive solutions that enhance security and deterrence capabilities for partner nations.
