Turkish security forces have detained two individuals in coordinated raids targeting a cyberespionage network in Istanbul and Adana. The operation resulted in the seizure of digital equipment and the blocking of multiple websites containing stolen personal data.

Turkish intelligence and gendarmerie units have apprehended two suspects during coordinated operations against a cyberespionage network in Istanbul and Adana. According to security sources, the raids conducted on Saturday targeted individuals involved in illegal data access operations, with the investigation directed by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Investigation Findings and Equipment Seizure

Authorities determined that the detained suspects maintained connections to a broader cybercrime organization operating across multiple jurisdictions. During search operations, security personnel confiscated various digital devices and foreign-linked systems allegedly utilized for conducting unauthorized cyber activities and data breaches.

Judicial Process and International Dimensions

Following interrogation, both suspects provided information about additional individuals and groups involved in the unauthorized access of personal data. The suspects were formally arrested under Türkiye's cybersecurity legislation, while arrest warrants have been issued for other alleged participants believed to be residing outside the country's borders.

Ongoing Investigation and Preventive Measures

The investigation continues to develop as new evidence emerges, with authorities anticipating further expansion of the case. As part of the operational response, access to 24 websites containing query panels constructed from stolen personal information has been blocked to prevent additional data exploitation and protect citizen privacy.
