Türkiye marks 74 years in NATO, announces Ankara summit for July 2026

Türkiye celebrated the 74th anniversary of its membership in NATO on Wednesday, reaffirming its enduring commitment to the alliance while announcing it will host the upcoming NATO summit. "In line with its leading role within the Alliance, our country will host the NATO Ankara Summit on 7-8 July 2026," the ministry declared, positioning the upcoming gathering as recognition of Türkiye's strategic value to the alliance.
