Türkiye has delivered more than 101,000 tons of humanitarian assistance to Gaza through a large-scale operation involving ships and aircraft. The state disaster agency AFAD, coordinating the effort, reports that hundreds of aid trucks have entered the region, with additional shipments of food and shelter supplies scheduled.
Türkiye has dispatched a total of 101,725 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, utilizing 16 ships and 14 aircraft in a major relief operation coordinated by its Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD). The aid initiative represents a sustained effort to address the pressing needs in the Palestinian enclave.
In a recent statement, AFAD provided a breakdown of the land shipments, revealing that 333 trucks carrying humanitarian supplies have crossed into Gaza. The agency highlighted that aid deliveries have gained momentum following the implementation of a ceasefire, facilitating better access to the region.
A significant consignment of 100 trucks, which included supplies from AFAD, the Turkish Red Crescent, and other domestic non-governmental organizations, was recently transported. This shipment was coordinated with the Egyptian Red Crescent and moved from El Arish in Egypt to the Karem Abu Salem border crossing for entry into Gaza.
