Crash Details and Investigation
The Falcon 50 business jet, en route from Ankara's Esenboga Airport to Tripoli, crashed in the Haymana district. Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed that the wreckage was located and that the aircraft's black box and cockpit voice recorder had been recovered. An investigation into the cause of the crash is now underway.
Libya Declares National Mourning
In response to the tragedy, Libya's Government of National Unity has declared three days of national mourning. The call between the two leaders underscores the close diplomatic ties between Türkiye and Libya amid the shared loss.
