Veteran politician injured in gunfire
Two unknown assailants opened fire on a veteran politician''s car in Bakirköy district of Istanbul on Tuesday.
Adnan Yildiz, ex-deputy of Turkey''s Motherland Party, was injured while his wife and daughter were killed in the armed fire opened by two bike-bound assailants.
Yildiz was immediately taken to a nearby hospital after the incident which caused panic before the family''s house in Kartaltepe neighbourhood.
Police and paramedics were sent to the scene after the attack.
One of the assailants was reported to be injured by gun fire opened from the politician''s car.
Yildiz was an Istanbul deputy for 18th term from Motherland Party which was merged to Democrat Party in 2009.
