World leaders call Erdoğan to offer birthday greetings, strengthen bilateral ties
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Several heads of state including Azerbaijan's Aliyev, Serbia's Vučić, and Greece's Mitsotakis telephoned President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Thursday to convey birthday wishes. Erdoğan expressed gratitude and reaffirmed his determination to advance relations with each country during the separate conversations.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received birthday congratulations Thursday from multiple world leaders during telephone calls that also served to reinforce bilateral diplomatic engagement, Türkiye's Communications Directorate announced. Those extending warm wishes included Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Denis Bećirović as the Bosniak member of Bosnia and Herzegovina's presidency, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Birthday Congratulations and Diplomatic Calls

The leaders conveyed their birthday wishes during separate phone conversations with Erdoğan, according to the directorate's statement on social media platform NSosyal. The calls provided opportunity for personal exchange while reaffirming the importance each leader places on relations with Türkiye and its president.

Commitment to Strengthening Ties

Erdoğan thanked each leader for their thoughtful gestures and expressed his determination to further advance bilateral relations between Türkiye and their respective countries. The calls reflect the extensive network of diplomatic relationships Ankara maintains across the Balkans, Caucasus, and Eastern Mediterranean, with Erdoğan's birthday serving as an occasion for personal diplomacy and renewed commitments to cooperation.
