AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik emphasized that Syria’s internal peace and territorial integrity are of strategic importance for Türkiye, highlighting that the principle of “one state, one army, one Syria” guarantees a shared future for all communities.

Framework for inclusive governance

Çelik wrote on his social media account: “The internal peace and territorial integrity of our brotherly Syria are extremely important for Türkiye. They also serve as a strategic key for regional stability. The principle of ‘one state, one army, one Syria’ provides a framework that protects everyone’s rights and future. Inclusive approaches, where no one is excluded and everyone in Syria shares a common future, benefit all.”

President’s long-term efforts

“Our President’s long-standing efforts to ensure the unity of all of Syria, encompassing every ethnic and sectarian group, have been witnessed by the region and its peoples over the years,” Çelik added, underlining Türkiye’s commitment to a unified Syria.

Dangers of division

He warned that “the presence of two armies or non-state armed groups in Syria only serves the interests of malevolent forces.”

Shared future for all communities

Çelik concluded: “The future of our brothers and sisters—Turkmen, Arabs, Kurds, and all others—aligns in the same direction. Those who try to pursue a different path act only as saboteurs against this shared future.”
