Selcuk Bayraktar said he briefed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Baykar Technologies' ongoing projects in Azerbaijan during their meeting in Baku on Thursday, expressing gratitude for the reception and emphasizing the enduring unity between the two brotherly nations.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Thursday received Selcuk Bayraktar, chairman of Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar, in Baku for comprehensive talks on bilateral defense cooperation and technology projects underway in Azerbaijan. The meeting addressed the initiatives Baykar Technologies is implementing in the country, according to statements posted on social media by the visiting delegation.

"As part of our visit to Azerbaijan, we were received by H.E. President Ilham Aliyev," Bayraktar said on X, expressing gratitude for the hospitality extended during the official visit. He noted that he briefed Aliyev on the specific projects Baykar is carrying out in Azerbaijan, highlighting the strategic importance of technological collaboration between the two nations.

Defense cooperation

The Baykar chair emphasized the enduring strength of Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations, describing the defense and technology partnership as a cornerstone of bilateral ties.
