According to Turkish Foreign Ministry sources, Fidan held discussions with Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani, Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, on Monday.
Strengthening bilateral coordination
The meeting comes as part of ongoing high-level dialogue between Ankara and Doha, two close allies that have coordinated closely on regional issues, including efforts to mediate ceasefires and provide humanitarian aid. While no official readout of the talks has been released, the discussions are believed to have covered bilateral defence cooperation and recent regional developments, particularly the wars in Gaza and the Gulf.
