"As of now, there is one fatality, a security guard who was the first to take the hit. He reacted promptly and called law enforcement. He prevented the attacker from advancing further into the technical college," Kondratyev stated on Telegram. The regional interior ministry confirmed the shooter was a student who opened fire in the college lobby. The suspect has been detained by authorities.

Three additional victims were wounded during the attack. Emergency services responded to the scene in Anapa, a popular resort destination approximately 1,200 kilometers south of Moscow.
