I do brush my hair! Boris Johnson apologizes for unruly blonde hair

The notoriously messy blonde locks of U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson have been a widely discussed topic in the tabloids for quite a while now, with some calling the erratic look bizarre, straw-like, and in the style of a medieval monk. However, apparently there are still question marks plaguing people's minds regarding the reason behind the eye-catching shaggy blonde mane.

A reporter, expressing his mother's curiosity on the matter, asked the 56-year-old premier why he never appears to brush his hair.

"Quick question from my mum… Why do you never ever brush your hair? Even when you're representing the country abroad, your hair is all over the place, she wants to know why," the journalist asked during a visit to an Openzon training facility in Bolton.

The prime minister insisted: "I do! It's something to do with my hair, but I can tell you I do brush it. I have a brush in my office; but anyway give your mother my very best for a very happy Christmas and apologies for my hair," adding that he “does his best” with his shock of platinum blonde hair.

Boris Johnson's trademark floppy hair has become intertwined with his image since the beginning of his career, moreso since he took over as premier for the United Kingdom in 2019.
