Netanyahu: War with Iran not endless, will pave way for broader peace

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserted Monday that the ongoing US-Israeli military campaign against Iran will not be endless, predicting regime collapse would enable "many peace treaties" with Muslim nations. He pointed to Saudi Arabia as a potential beneficiary, as the death toll from Saturday's strikes reached 555, including 165 schoolgirls.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared Monday that the joint US-Israeli military operation against Iran would be finite in duration, telling Fox News "you're not going to have an endless war." Netanyahu framed the campaign as a gateway to expanded regional diplomacy, asserting that the destruction of Iran's current regime would create conditions for the Iranian people to form a democratically elected government and enable "many peace treaties" with other Muslim countries.

Saudi Arabia and Abraham Accords Expansion
Netanyahu specifically identified Saudi Arabia as a nation poised to benefit significantly from Tehran's collapse, suggesting the conflict would ultimately facilitate "broader peace." He invoked the Abraham Accords as precedent, stating that "working together against Iran, we will be able to bring many, many more peace treaties." The prime minister positioned the military escalation as "the exact opposite" of endless war, framing it instead as a catalyst for regional transformation.

Trump's Call and Mounting Casualties
President Donald Trump separately urged Iranians to "seize this moment" and "take back your country" in a social media message. The comments come as the Iranian Red Crescent reported the death toll from Saturday's US-Israeli strikes has risen to 555, including at least 165 schoolgirls. Tehran has responded with drone and missile attacks targeting US-linked sites in Gulf countries, while six US service members have been killed and several others wounded since operations began.
