Pakistan interior minister makes second Tehran visit in week amid US-Iran mediation

Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has traveled to Tehran for a second time in less than a week to meet senior Iranian officials, according to Iran's state-run IRNA news agency, as Islamabad intensifies mediation efforts between Tehran and Washington.
Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi arrived in Tehran on Wednesday for high-level talks, marking his second visit in less than a week amid Islamabad's mediation efforts to end the war between Iran and the United States. Diplomatic sources told Iran's state-run IRNA news agency that Naqvi had departed for the Iranian capital to meet with senior officials.
During his previous visit earlier this week, Naqvi met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, and Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni, according to IRNA. The Pakistani minister discussed bilateral relations with the Iranian leadership during those meetings.
Mediation efforts
The back-to-back visits highlight Pakistan's role as an intermediary between Tehran and Washington. Islamabad has positioned itself to broker an agreement to halt hostilities that have disrupted regional stability.
