Pompeo to visit Riyadh to seek update on Khashoggi murder probe

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will travel to Saudi capital Riyadh to seek an update into the investigation of the death of slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi, according to a statement on Friday by the U.S. Department of State.

Pompeo will also visit Jordan, Egypt, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Kuwait as part of his Jan. 8 to Jan. 15 trip, the department said in a statement.
