Russia has delivered nuclear munitions to storage facilities in Belarus as part of ongoing joint nuclear exercises, the Russian Defence Ministry announced. The drills, which began on Tuesday, entered their final phase on Thursday. “Within the framework of the nuclear forces exercise, nuclear munitions have been delivered to the field depots of a missile brigade in Belarus,” the ministry said in a statement.
Combat training operations
Belarusian missile units are conducting combat training exercises that include receiving Iskander-M special munitions, loading them onto carrier missiles, and covertly moving to designated position areas for launch preparation.

Footage released by the Russian Defence Ministry showed military vehicles advancing through forested areas and munitions being unloaded. The exercises come amid heightened tensions between Russia and NATO over the war in Ukraine and the Iran conflict’s spillover effects.
