Russian airstrikes targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure on Tuesday, causing emergency power outages in several regions and killing at least one person near Kyiv. Regional Governor Mykola Kalashnik reported a woman died after a strike sparked a fire in a house in the Vyshhorod district, with three others injured.
Capital and Nationwide Impact of Attacks
In the capital itself, at least four people were reported injured, according to Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko. Ukraine's Energy Ministry confirmed the nationwide assault on energy facilities, stating the attacks necessitated emergency blackouts. Repair crews were dispatched to restore power as quickly as possible. Russian authorities have not commented on the strikes.
