Trump praises ICE airport deployment, threatens National Guard

Speaking at the National Republican Congressional Committee’s annual fundraising dinner, Trump said the agents were doing an “unbelievable job” since their deployment began Monday. “If we have to, we’re going to send in the National Guard if we need to,” he added.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer insisted Wednesday that Democrats have been “very clear” about their reform demands, adding: “If anyone is slowing down negotiation and hurting TSA workers, it’s the Republican leadership who did not include one single reform.”

Trump criticized Democratic lawmakers, accusing them of refusing to fund Transportation Security Administration personnel. “You have to remember that the radical left Democrats need to get DHS back and open immediately,” he said.
