Tunisia and Saudi Arabia sign five accords to deepen cooperation

Tunisia and Saudi Arabia have inked five new agreements and memorandums of understanding covering multiple economic and media sectors. The deals were signed Sunday during the two-day 12th session of the Tunisian-Saudi Joint Committee in Riyadh.
Key sectors for enhanced partnership
The accords, reported by Tunisian state media, include a customs cooperation agreement and an MoU on postal services. A separate memorandum focuses on mining collaboration between the two nations' respective industry and mineral resources ministries, aiming to develop joint projects.
Media and communications collaboration
Further agreements solidified cooperation in the media sphere. One MoU involves radio and television collaboration between national broadcasters, while an executive program was signed for news exchange and partnership between the Tunis Afrique Presse agency and the Saudi Press Agency.
Officials highlight strategic economic vision
Tunisian Economy Minister Samir Abdelhafidh described the session as a step toward strengthening the legal framework for bilateral relations. Saudi Industry Minister Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef pointed to significant opportunities for expanded cooperation, particularly within the framework of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 economic diversification plan. The committee also planned a private-sector forum for Monday.
